Creating New Pages/Index or Adding Pages to an Index:
First create a new page in the Unlinked section by pressing “+” and selecting a template.
Name your page for the navigation menu then edit the page’s content as desired.
Note: the navigation name is the way your page or index will appear in the Pages section (can be detailed to help you differentiate sections of an index, ex: Home - Intro or Studio - Prices); the page name is the name Google will see and use to index your content (be short and specific, ex: Cafe Menu or Contact); the page URL name should reflect your page/index name (ex: /home or /studio)
Add it to a current index, if suitable, or leave it in the Unlinked section.
If you want your new page to appear in your site’s main navigation menu, create a link by pressing “+” and selecting “Link”, then drag it to the appropriate folder in the Main/Secondary Navigation section. (When you select the URL name to be linked, select the appropriate one for the page you just created.)
Tips and Best Practices:
Leave plenty of space between sections, paragraphs, buttons and elements using the Spacer Block or by hitting an extra Enter after a paragraph.
Don’t overcrowd a section with text. If you have to, section it into chunks separated by spacers, buttons, lines, etc and paired with an additional element like an icon, image or quote.
There are only 3 types of text within the website’s design, but you can still get creative with them by using the different formatting options: italic, bold or uppercase and lowercase typing. (ex: this page’s title - same font, first word is italicized)
While editing this page, look through the settings and observe what elements were used to get an idea on how certain elements appear on the site.
