TEACHERS & INSTRUCTORS

We collaborate with local and international teachers, who bring their own experience and practice to the class. Teachers have an opportunity to lead their classes in a pure and honest way because our classes are mostly curated by themselves. By having this freedom, we can guarantee a diverse class schedule and include signature classes.

I get this question the most: What kind of Yoga do you teach? I am ever curious about anatomy and understanding the human body and mind. I share a playful kind of Yoga in which we seek balance – soft and strong, powerful yet relaxing. In my classes we can laugh and experiment with movement. Let’s discover together how movement and meditation can help us become stronger, healthier beings. With me you can practice an accessible, healthy, exploratory form of Yoga that infuses elements from Movement Culture and Martial Arts and takes into consideration that each body is different. My aim is for you to leave each Yoga practice feeling like the best version of yourself!

I believe that practicing yoga is one of the best gifts you can give yourself, and that anyone can do it. My classes build up gently, step by step, so no matter what your level of experience is you can get the most out of the practice for your mind and body.

Classes I teach:

Tuesdays 11:00 - 12:00 Gentle Vinyasa & 18:45 - 19:45 Hatha Yoga

Sundays 11:00 - 12:00 Hatha Yoga

I started my first yoga teacher training (YTT) in 2015 because I wanted to know more about yoga. I had been practising since 2013 and I never stopped. During the first YTT, I had to teach if I wanted to get a certificate, but I never wanted to teach. But when I started teaching I ended up liking it a lot! After that YTT, After this Vinyasa YTT, I did a Hatha training in the Indian Himalaya. Back in Amsterdam, I ended up doing a Yin YTT in Amsterdam, a Nidra training and this year I also did a Restorative YTT.

I like to teach yoga because doing yoga myself has taught me so much about my body, my mind and about breathing. I teach from the perspective that everybody is different. One of my favourite quotes is from Bernie Clark and he says 'We don't use the body to get into the pose, we use the pose to get into the body'.

Classes I teach:

Saturdays 10:15 - 11:30 Yin Yoga

When I took my first Pilates class back in 2010, the teacher gave us such specific cues that I was able to bring awareness to and activate muscles I didn't even know existed. I loved how it felt to fully connect to my body while giving my restless mind something to focus on. Ever since, I have found Pilates to be truly transformative, not only for my physical body but also my mental and emotional wellbeing. Eager to share this practice, I completed mat and equipment Pilates teacher training in California. It wasn't until after years of teaching that I realized what I was really hoping to communicate to students was the power of mindfulness and connection in the present moment. Inspired to explore the roots of mindfulness teachings, I traveled through India and Southeast Asia where I completed teacher trainings in yoga and meditation and dove much deeper into my own practice and understanding. As a teacher, I hope to create a space where students can come into their bodies through movement and stillness, while cultivating gratitude, compassion, a conscious mind, and an open heart. My classes are a place to just be as you are, relax your judgements, and realize the joy in that. :)

Classes I teach:

Thursdays: 20:15 - 21:30 Gentle Vinyasa

Sundays (alternate with Mary): 19:00 - 20:15 Sunday Evening Flow

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 10 years when I began accompanying my mother in her practice. It wasn’t until I started a dedicated daily practice in 2015 that I discovered the true potential of yoga. It has helped me grow stronger in mind and body in ways I cannot describe.

In my classes, I combine creative sequencing, intuitive movement, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of mindfulness to help deepen your practice through nourishing and nurturing the mind, body and spirit. My hope is that you step off of the mat refreshed and balanced, of course, with a big smile on your face.

Classes I teach:

Mondays 20:00 - 21:15 Flow + Restore

Tuesdays 7:15 - 8:00 Flow ‘n Go

Thursdays 18:30 - 20:00 Mandala Flow
